Responsive Web Design notes
Original article introducing the concept from A List Apart: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/responsive-web-design by Ethan Marcotte
Fluid images: http://unstoppablerobotninja.com/entry/fluid-images also by Ethan Marcotte
CSS:
img,
object {
max-width: 100%;
}A few caveats:
- Older versions of IE don't recognize max-width. Therefore requires an IE specific stylesheet for older versions with a
width:100%;declaration. - Versions of IE prior to 8 and FF 3.0 and older have terrible image rendering as the image shrinks down.. requiring another fix: http://unstoppablerobotninja.com/demos/resize/imgSizer.js
